About Zonked Club

Hello I’m Gary.

I live in the beautiful island of Jersey in the Channel Islands.

In 2017 after nearly a year searching for a diagnosis, which I wrote about in this blog, I was finally diagnosed with ME, which I blogged about here.

My day job is as a journalist, working as a reporter and editor for ITV News, though I have not done a full day’s work since the start of 2017.

I now know my raft of symptoms are ME.

Making the most of things is my approach to this diagnosis, staying focused on what I can do, rather than what I can’t.

That’s why I set up Zonked Club, a simple website to share experiences of living with ME.

I’ll add to it bit by bit and I hope it proves useful to people with ME, as well as their friends and family who may be sometimes unsure about the best thing to do to help those with it.

Please note all the advice offered on this site is based on my own personal experience and the things I’ve learned. What works for me may not work for you. What works for me may not be right by you. And remember I’m NOT a specialist, I’m a ‘patient’ who’s trying to become my own specialist of what I have. There, that’s the small print out of the way!

You can followed Zonked Club on Facebook and Twitter and you can follow me personally on twitter here.

Thanks for stopping by.
